War Stories

#1
(The enemy troops break the door open and barge into my house. My mom’s arms are around my head, so I can barely see anything, but I manage to catch a glimpse of my brother’s face which is as pale snow. My father looks through the gap in the ceiling of the dark, damp storage room. I wait and wait but the soldiers don’t leave. Suddenly,) I heard a sound of a breaking glass. As the same time, my dog barked. The soldiers heard the noise and then lie down to hear the sound in the below. They notice something and starts to break the floor with their gun. Every time they hit the floor, my mom startles a little. We are all very fearful and scared. "Crack!" Now the soldiers are able to see us. They said, "Put your weapon down and come out!" My dad first went out, and then my brother. However, my mom was holding me so tightly that I can barely move. Fortunately, The soldiers did not see us. May be because my dad was making weird sound so that the soldiers will be distracted. When they were all went out, we were just able to hear the sounds of the guns and the screaming of the people. I heard the cry for help, screaming of pain, and the cry from sadness. Still, my mom and I were still in danger so we were not able to make any sound, and of course, my dog was with my dad, and my brother. I was curious about what would have happened to them. Since, it was the 2nd Korean War, we, South Korean have more power from all over the countries, the U.S, Japan, China. and etc. By those help from other countries we have advantages but North Korea have a lot of weapons that we did not even thought of. We all have to think that it is so thankful to be alive. The thing is that the war did not end but I am starving. I did not have time for breakfast and lunch. My mom is still shocked. She hardly moves and keep watching me carefully. I think she do not have hope to live. Also, she thinks that my dad and my brother died. However, I do not think like that still think that they are alive somewhere. I will find them someday. If they are dead, I will find at least their body and their grave.

4 hours later......

It is now 10 pm. We are still in the corner of the basement making no sound. We are both so exhausted but also nervous. But then, someone came into our house. By the accent, I knew that it was the North Korean soldier. I heard what they were talking about and I heard that "this war is just meaningless". After a short talk, the house was again quiet. I could just hear the sound of my mom's nervous breath. The North Korea soldier said, "I know you are there. Come out!" Again we did not come out. It was strange because no one noticed that we were there. May be because there were a lot of blood near us. Our house was in front of a big road and I were able to see some people dead. We were keep thinking why doesn't the South Korean and U.S army doesn't come to our house? They might be able to help us, won't they? The war has continued more than 5 hours and we were not even close to be seen. That was the good thing but my mom had almost NO HOPE. Her eyes were blank, her face was pale, and she was very weak that she can barely stand up. I was very worried about her health but we did not have other choice. We just slept in the damp, cold basement. No we just pretended to sleep. Can people can sleep when a soldier capture their family and there is a war outside their house? I just closed my eyes thought about my brother's pale face and my dad's eyes full of worries.
'Will I be able to see them again? May be not...'
Still, I tried to think optimistic. If both of us don't have hope, we won't be able to survive. I tried to think of my friends...
'What would have happened to them? Actually, today was Ashley's birthday. I cannot do anything for her, even though it was her birthday. I just can remember her happy face in school. What if she was no longer here? No, she can't be. May be I was the one who was very lucky to be not DEAD.'
I saw my mom. She was asleep. She was shivering in cold and often shriek "no!" in low voice. I still hear bullets flying through the air, soldiers fighting, and some houses were exploding and was in fire. I was losing hope. I can no longer stand the fear and the anger. I just hope to die.

3 hours later...

Again, the North Korea soldier came to my house. I made a little sound in purpose. Of course, this time, he knew that someone is below their foot. I knew that he will shoot me with his gun which killed bunch of people. I was ready meet my friends, cousins, and my family. He came down and with a loud sound, he pulled the trigger to me and my mom. I felt a sharp pain in my heart but it stopped in seconds. I was no longer a person in the world.

Next day,

The war was over now. My father and my brother was alive. But me and my mom was dead. They came back to home. They found our corpse lying in the floor peacefully.

#2 - GDHEARTBREAKER
Suddenly, Sabina could hear the marching footsteps and talking. “There’s nothing here.” Said one soldier. “Well there’s some rat here.” Said another. “Let’s just go back and say to ‘him’ that there’s nothing but rats here and let’s get out of here. I hate this place.” Said the first soldier. Hearing the conversation, Sabina and her family sighed with relief because they thought that the troops were leaving finally. When they could not hear the footsteps and the conversation, they THOUGHT that they were safe now, so the family left the storage room. The storage room was a secret room behind the book shelves in the study room. The family turned the door knob, which was made to look like a book, and pushed the book shelves. Then, the family faced the reality. THEY MET THE TROOPS.
Sabina and her family were terrified. They were so surprised that no one could say a word. The soldiers were bewildered too. There was a strange silence between the family and the troops. Sabina’s father broke the silence. “Sabina, Ted, Sally, RUN!” The family ran to the door. “GET THEM!!” said the first lieutenant Jimmy Cross. “But sir, ‘He’ did not give us the order so we cannot go after them.” Said the second lieutenant Curt Lemon bravely. “I don’t care! Just get them!!” roared lieutenant Jimmy Cross. So the soldiers took action, but it was too late. Sabina and her family were already escaping the town.
Sabina came to a halt. Then Ted, Sally, and her father Paul halted with Sabina. A huge missile was coming toward them. “Turn Left!” said Paul, and the family turned left. Suddenly, a nuclear bomb was coming directly to them. “Turn right!” said Paul again, and the family turned right. They ran and ran and ran. They thought that they were now safe from the bomb. Just then, Sabina screamed. “Dad!! Mom!! Ted!! The bomb is after us!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” “Where should we go? The bomb is CHASING us!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” screamed Paul. “We are going to die!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” screamed Ted. “Don’t scream like that!! It hearts my ears!! AAAAAAAA!!” screamed Sally. Then BOOM!! “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” screamed all four.
“Sabina? Ted? Paul? Where are you!!” screamed Sally. “We’re all here!! Right behind you, mom!! So please don’t scream!!” screamed Sabina. “Mom, it’s weird. There’s nothing left but us. The trees disappeared!! The birds!! The flowers!! And even the bomb!! They all disappeared!!” said Ted, with awe. “How could we survive?!” wondered Paul. “Well……e-hem. I think it is time to tell you the truth and the story behind me.” Said Sally, mysteriously.
“That’s…” “a perfect…” “NONSENSE!!” said Sabina, Ted, and Paul which their mouths opened. “Do you expect us to believe such a story mom??” argued Ted. “ I am not expecting you to believe me. It is just the truth, Ted. Whether or not you believe the story or not, you have to admit that it is 100 percent fact.” Replied Sally. “Well, if we all are people who do not die, then prove it!” shouted Paul. “Yeah, mom. You have to have some evidence for your argument. I hate to say, but I have to admit that it is truly nonsense that we are people who do not, or cannot die just because of that carrot lucky charm that you carry everyday, you know mom.” Said Sabina, skeptically. “So, you all mean that I have to prove that we are immortal to convince you guys? I don’t want to!!” shouted Sally. “Sally, we believe you anything what you say, but this is just unbelievable. The whole story just sound like what 5 years old kid expressing the imagination world.” Said Paul. “So, are you saying, Paul, that……” The quarrel went on and on until a strange person appeared.
“Excuse me.. but WHO ARE YOU??” asked all four. The strange person smiled. “Me? Don’t you know me already Paul?!” “N-no…” said Paul, with surprised face. “Well, then. My name is… Lord Voldamort -just joking- Hitolo. I am the 274056870th king of Mars. I am the 580173th child, from 580174 children, of Hitlo the Great. My nickname is Lord Voldamort, since I look very similar to the character. Hahahahahahaha…” said the strange person. “Paul, do you know him?” asked Sally, silently. “Actually, to say the truth Sally, I do not know him. This is my first time meeting him. I don’t know how he got my name.” “If I say one, dad, please, go to that person and say anything that would think that you really know him.” Whispered Sabina. “And if I say two mom, say something about inviting him to our home or anything. Do you understand?” Whispered Ted. “Got it.” Paul and Sally said simultaneously. “And if I say three, mom and dad, you say but not now, and kick him or hurt him. You should be very quick so we all can run to the opposite side of him. Do you think that you can handle this, mom, dad??” said Sabina, very urgently. “Yep.” “A perfect scenario. Let’s find out if it works or not.” Whispered Paul and Sally excitedly.
“ONE!!” whispered Sabina. “Ohhhh~~ I remember you Hitolo!! How could I forget you!!” said Paul, acting to be warm. “TWO!!” whispered Ted. “Oh Paul, did you know him?? Well then why don’t you invite Hitolo to our home and have some party?” said Sally, acting very naturally. “THREE!!” “But sorry Hitolo or whatsoever!! We actually don’t know you and the party? Well.. NOT NOW!!” said Paul and Sally together, and Paul punched Hitolo with all his strength, and Sally kicked Hitolot’s leg really hard that Sabina and Ted could hear crack from Hitolot’s leg. The family once again, ran. “Mom, do you act in home too?? You were so natural!! I couldn’t believe that it was an act without practice!!” asked Sabina with awe. Sally just smiled. “Whoa mom. That was a real kick!! Hitolo must have gotten really mad!!” said Ted. “How can you prove it?” asked Sally with a huge smile. “Well… His aircraft is coming after us, so I just used my brain to infer a bit!” said Ted, kinda laughing.
Suddenly, the land came apart as if there was an earthquake. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” screamed the family. They all slipped into the crack and they couldn’t stop going down and down and down until they met the center of the earth. “HAHAHA” Hitolo laughed with joy. “What a scene. Now, they will have to live in there for the rest of their lives. HAHAHA” said Hitolo, with his evil laugh. “Not that fast, Hitolo!!” said Sally behind him raising her hand. “Paul?” said Sally. “Ready! One…two…three…” and then BOOM!! Then click.
“That was excellent!! This will be a great movie!! I’m impressed!!” “Not at all, Mr. Balcony.” Said Paul, Sally, Sabina, Ted, and Hitolo together. “You guys are the best actors I have ever seen!! I felt as the movie was real!! Great work, everyone! Perfect acting!!” said Mr. Balcony. “But, Mr. Balcony..?” said Sabina, her face getting red. “What are you going to name this movie?” “Um… I’ll think about it. Well anyway, here’s today’s pay for the great work everyone!!” replied Mr. Balcony.
“You know what, Sabina?” said Ted. “What?” “I just can’t wait to see the movie!! I can’t believe that I acted as Ted!!” said Ted. “Yeah. Me too!” said Sabina. “Me three!” said Sally, Paul, and Hitolo all together. “Hey, how about getting some hamburgers from Mcdonards?? I’m starving!!” suggested Hitolo. “Yeah!! I’m starving too!! Let’s go get some!!” replied Paul. And they all ran to get some burgers, and the sun was slipping down and down and down.
